Lessons
Jump into our lesson program and explore your love of horses in a fun and safe environment! Wynbrook Riding School provides riding lessons to students aged 5 and up. During the COVID 19 pandemic, riders are asked to stay outside the barn. Lesson helpers take care of the tacking and grooming of all horses. Our coaches offer a special emphasis on achieving a solid and proper base of equitation skills right from the beginning.
We alternate our lesson topics which include flatwork and jumping (for the suitable rider), as we strongly believe that both disciplines complement each other in the development of an all-around rider. During the “flat week” we encourage correct rider position, a variety of figures, and shapes to challenge steering and control, as well as other exercises that develop a rider’s ability to adjust the range in their horse’s stride. On “jump week”, we set up a variety of pole and gymnastic exercises, or intricate jumping patterns that test a rider’s ability to navigate their horse over fences with correct rhythm, balance, and accuracy.
Riding at Wynbrook offers a professional, structured, and positive learning experience for all levels of riders. Wynbrook is home to 14 wonderful lesson horses and ponies that are equally safe and calm for beginners but can also comfortably take students to competitions on the local Bronze Horse Show circuit.
All our coaches are nationally certified in documentation or proven competitive riders at the top levels of our sport. Our students can expect friendly and knowledgeable staff who strive to provide a positive learning environment.
Our Riding lessons are structured on a monthly basis with no long-term commitments. New riders can join at any time.

Beginner Students
We recommend one month of private lessons for all beginner students. Group lessons for subsequent months would then be ideal for the beginner, offering the opportunity for more saddle time (1 hour of riding) and new friendships with other students.
Students with Experience
Should you have previous riding experience, it is encouraged that we arrange for a tour of the facilities and an “assessment” of your riding skills. We assess your balance, position, and general understanding of the fundamental skills that we emphasize here at Wynbrook Riding School. We find this process very helpful in selecting the best fit for a lesson group that will continue to challenge your skills and allow the opportunity to become the best rider that you can be!

How to Register
Send us an email, and request to book a tour of our facilities and to meet some of our amazing horses and ponies.
