Meet Taylor Brooks
Meet Taylor, the visionary behind our elite show program.
With her vast knowledge and international success as a professional in both the hunter, and jumper rings, Taylor will create the perfect plan to achieve your competitive goals.
November 2015 marked the exciting beginning of Taylor’s future, as she became the manager of all operations at Wynbrook Farm.
It has always been her child hood dream to take over the family business, and she credits this opportunity to her supportive parents, Gary and Joanne.
Taylor is excited to share her parent’s lifetime of knowledge with the next generation of passionate horse enthusiasts.
Top Professional Rider
Taylor practically grew up on the competitive horse show circuit, making her Short Stirrup debut at age 6, and then focused on training and developing young ponies, winning numerous Provincial and National championships along the way. Taylor, at age 12, made her first Royal appearance aboard her most notable pony “Beaverwood’s Echo” and earned two top ribbons in the Medium pony division.
Taylor enjoyed a highly successful junior career, claiming numerous victories across Ontario and Quebec, in the Children’s Hunters aboard “R’Olympic”, and another showing at the Royal, in the Junior Hunters and Jump Canada Medal with “Monaco”. Taylor worked closely alongside her mother Joanne, as they imported and trained several young hunters, who then went on to be successful partners for junior and amateur owners across Canada and the US.
By the age of 17, Taylor had set her sights on the Jumper and Equitation ring, and soon proved to be the one to beat in the prestigious Canadian Equestrian Team (CET) Medal, claiming the win at the Quebec Regional Final, and competing at the Royal Winter Fair on three occasions. Soon after her Equitation ring success, Taylor focused on the jumper ring, gaining valuable ring experience with her beloved horse “G&C Orlana”, and soon worked her way up to the 1.40s with “Vento di Combiamento” at HITS Ocala in 2015.
It was no surprise when Taylor declared her professional status, as her talent and dedication to the sport predicted a promising future, both as a professional rider and a coach.
A Dedicated Coach
Taylor works very closely with her students, ensuring each horse and rider has a training program tailored to their individual needs. She believes that a strong foundation of technical flatwork and understanding of basic dressage, is a key element to the horse and rider’s successful navigation through a challenging jumper course, or a hunter rider’s seamless and effortless performance.
Taylor believes that a rider’s ability to progress and to develop confidence is supported through positive learning experiences, both at home and at the show. Our comprehensive training program encourages frequent training rides by Taylor or our assistant trainers, ensuring the training level is maintained and all of our horses and ponies are performing at their best.
TBE students continue to dominate the show ring, demonstrating their excellence in all rings, and at all levels of the sport.
TBE students are always mounted on safe and qualified horses, who are always presented in a polished and professional manner, with riders thoroughly prepared for the physical and mental challenges a competitive sport presents - Taylor pays attention to every detail, never leaving a stone unturned.
Taylor attains an incredibly high qualification rate for the Provincial Trillium Championships, and the Canadian National final held at the Royal Winter Fair. She has also produced numerous Provincial and National champions from the pony divisions, up to the Adult Amateur classes..
